Cammeo realizzato a tre strati, oltre al fondo marrone e il superiore bianco viene utilizzato lo strato superiore arancione che si trova nella coppa interna della conchiglia cassis madagascariensis, comunemente chiamata sardonica.
É da notare il particolare adattamento del soggetto al materiale, cosi naturale e casuale che lascia intendere la maestria e la bravura dell’incisore.

Un bravo incisore conosce la sua materia. Sente dove cederà al suo assalto perché l’incisore è già presente nella conchiglia o nel blocco di corallo e aspetta solo di essere rilevata: l’incisore con precisione quasi millimetrica, ha intuito quali sembianze assumerà l’opera che solo gli ignoranti credono sia frutto della sua volontà. E invece lui non fa altro che svelare: il suo talento non consiste nell’inventare forme, bensì nel rendere manifeste quelle che erano invisibili.
Antonio Guarracino è un incisore nella nuova scuola artistica di Torre del Greco, non solo le forme ma la combinazione di elementi gli consentono una moderna interpretazione di questa antichissima arte.

La materia che si trasforma e prende vita.
Le deformazioni naturali della conchiglia ispirano il maestro che disegna e incide tutta la sua forza espressiva.
Tutte le conoscenze che abbiamo ottenuto, alla fine, non ci rendono liberi, hanno innalzato muri immaginari intorno a noi costruiti con i mattoni delle regole. Tutte le informazioni che riceviamo da media e social non ci fanno vedere la realtà per quella che è.
