Uno, Cento, Mille
L’immaginazione umana vede l’aldilà come un regno misterioso che suscita sia timore che speranza. In molte culture, la sofferenza nell’aldilà è il risultato di un giudizio divino: le anime vengono sottoposte a punizione o purificazione in base alle loro azioni terrene. Questa sofferenza può essere fisica, mentale o spirituale, e può variare dal tormento eterno alla purificazione per la redenzione.
Il passaggio tra la vita terrena e l’aldilà è un punto di grande incertezza. Alcuni lo vedono come una soglia sottile, altri come un abisso profondo. È il momento della transizione, spesso avvolto nel mistero e oggetto di speculazioni. Apparizioni e sogni che sembrano venire da questo spazio temporale alimentano la nostra curiosità sul dopo.
La sofferenza nell’aldilà e il mistero del confine tra i mondi sono temi che toccano la nostra esistenza. Genny Cervasio con l’opera “Uno, Cento, Mille”, invoglia a riflettere sulla natura della vita, della morte e sul significato dell’eternità, spingendo le persone a esplorare le proprie credenze e aspirazioni spirituali.

Platone si chiedeva: “Perché non rivedere i nostri stessi pensieri con calma e pazienza, esaminandoli a fondo per capire che cosa rappresentano davvero dentro di noi?”. L’introspezione veniva molto spesso paragonata alla percezione e alla memoria. Ma che cosa significa davvero questa parola? La donna raffigurata realizza un’auto-osservazione dei processi della sua vita, grazie alla quale riesce a conoscersi meglio. Rappresenta la capacità di riflessione che la mente possiede per diventare cosciente dei suoi stessi stati e fare riferimento a essi.
Chi di noi non ha pensato almeno una volta di essere ibernato per sfuggire alla morte o per allungare il corso della nostra vita?
Potremmo svegliarci in un’altra epoca e scoprire un modo diverso da quello che abbiamo conosciuto, un mondo nuovo. E così, Cervasio, si ritrova a guardare una donna che sta per risvegliarsi dalla sua ipotermia.
“L’evoluzione delle specie” è il titolo che Charles Darwin diede al suo studio sulla genetica. “Origin” di Dan Brown traccia un quadro fosco dell’evoluzione del genere umano. Cervasio, a modo su rappresenta quello che potrebbe essere il futuro, una completa integrazione tra uomo e macchina fin dalla gestazione. Segnali dal futuro, indicano una modifica del DNA in funzione dell’elettronica.

La raffigurazione delle estasi mistiche dei santi e delle loro visioni del divino, rappresenta uno dei temi più cari all’arte barocca. Bernini, con la sua “Estasi di santa Teresa” influenza quest’opera nella quale s’intravede un’estasi profana divergente da un afflato mistico. La visione, in chiave contemporanea, dell’estasi, non determina uno scontro tra sacro e profano, ma rivendica la sensazione dell’estasi di matrice fisica e non solo mistica.
Il bene e il male, secondo Cervasio, avviene in una rappresentazione unitaria. Tutte le figure, possono generare il bene e il male che rappresentano le 2 facce di una stessa medaglia. Così l’angelo che è demonio allo stesso tempo, la donna divorata dai serpenti e dalle sue ambizioni che da la nascita alla fenice. Tutto sotto una nuova entità che osserva l’evoluzione del bene e del male, stavolta senza le fattezze di un vecchio con la barba ma di una donna alata.
Ispirato da una scultura di Frank Kuman, Cervasio ridetermina l’incontro, all’interno del ventre materno di due vite che potrebbero essere concepite insieme o soltanto uno, l’altro sarà vittima della natura. Solo la chiave dell’amore utilizzando la serratura del tempo potrà determinarne il risultato.
