Chi di noi non ha pensato almeno una volta di essere ibernato per sfuggire alla morte o per allungare il corso della nostra vita?
Potremmo svegliarci in un’altra epoca e scoprire un modo diverso da quello che abbiamo conosciuto, un mondo nuovo. E così, Cervasio, si ritrova a guardare una donna che sta per risvegliarsi dalla sua ipotermia.
Soggetto rappresentante il peccato che commisero i propri primogenitori, Adamo ed Eva. Vollero decidere da sé, tra il bene e il male ricevettero amare conseguenze, trasmettendo a tutta l’umanità il peccato, la vergogna e la morte.
Platone si chiedeva: “Perché non rivedere i nostri stessi pensieri con calma e pazienza, esaminandoli a fondo per capire che cosa rappresentano davvero dentro di noi?”. L’introspezione veniva molto spesso paragonata alla percezione e alla memoria. Ma che cosa significa davvero questa parola? La donna raffigurata realizza un’auto-osservazione dei processi della sua vita, grazie alla quale riesce a conoscersi meglio. Rappresenta la capacità di riflessione che la mente possiede per diventare cosciente dei suoi stessi stati e fare riferimento a essi.
Legami come catene vincolano le nostre scelte fin dall’infanzia, eppure esiste la chiave per aprire le serrature dei sentimenti.
I legami che ci vincolano a volte sono impossibili da spiegare. Ci uniscono anche quando sembra che si debbano spezzare. Certi legami sfidano le distanze, il tempo e la logica perché ci sono legami che sono semplicemente destinati ad esistere.
